Recycling kids’ blue jeans has become quite an art for some. Finding a use for the flat stretches of un-seamed denim is pretty simple. Those larger pieces can be made into quilts, gift bags, and stuffed animals, to name a few.
But what about all the extra pieces like pockets, zippers, seams, and waistbands? Those I generally toss out as unusable but after seeing these fabulous pieces of artwork, I realize every part of a pair of jeans can have a second home.

Wind stretches of stitched seams into pinwheels and randomly attach to a backboard covered with denim. Love the mix of blues!
Clever use of waistband and belt loops into stripes of the flat. Even see a few buttons in the mix.
Same idea as the previous photo….but this time with the label attached. Love it!
Keep the seams and apply frilly lace pieces like this or create your own design. For the casual ruffles and lace type…..
Small pieces stitched together at random intervals. Love the sunburst effect.
